While the prospect of more women on British boards championing the equal pay cause is a brilliant development, every organisation has the potential to change the status quo, according to Lisa Forrester, director of GCS Recruitment.
The government has recently launched a consultation on forcing large companies to reveal the difference between the average pay of male and female staff and has also announced that a target of getting women occupying at least a quarter of boardroom seats at the UK’s biggest firms has been met.
