How the Consumer Electronic Show reveals tech sector needs to press the button for gender equality

While attending the Consumer Electronics Show, Mark Soden, the managing director of Norman Broadbent, explained that while the newest products were on display, it was blatantly obvious there was a lack of gender diversity within the sector.
Women in business is a topic which dominated the news for much of last year, but as 2016 gets underway and the technology industry sets out a host of hot topics and new focuses, it is essential that female representation within the technology industry is made a priority.
And as CES demonstrated, according to Soden, while the industry is fast moving and at the forefront of cutting edge developments, in order to ensure it doesn’t fall behind in addressing gender inequality, the industry needs to consider the spectrum of female candidates and how to support them in acquiring the necessary skills and strong business acumen.
